📖 Tournament Rules

• Coin Flip before each pool play game decides home team. In playoffs, higher seed = home.
• Rulebook: Cal Ripken 2026 Rules.
• Bats: No restrictions.
• Pitching: No pitch counts, but teams are expected to prioritize player safety.
• Time Limits:
• Pool Play: 2 hours max. No inning can start after 1:45.
• Championships: No time limit.
• Mercy Rule:
• 15 after 3 innings
• 10 after 4 innings
• 8 after 5 innings

• Tiebreakers: Record → Head-to-Head → Runs Allowed.

🎯 Skills Competition

Events:

• Relay Throwing – 4 players per team, fastest around the diamond.
• Relay Running – 4 players per team, ball hand-off around bases.
• Accuracy Throwing – 2 players per team, throws from CF to home.
• Fastest Runner – 2 players per team, home-to-home timed race.
• Home Run Derby – 1 player per team.
• Round 1: 60 seconds → most HRs.
• Final Round: 45 seconds → most HRs.
• Coaches pitch to their own players.
• Plate moved up for 9U, 10U, 11U. 12U hits from standard plate (180–185 ft field).
